We are proud to announce the 9th Nordic Conference on Human-Computer Interaction, NordiCHI 2016, which will take place in Gothenburg, Oct 23-27, 2016. NordiCHI is organized in collaboration with ACM SIGCHI, and it is the meeting place for researchers, designers, practitioners, and educators from a broad range of traditions and communities from all around the world.

NordiCHI 2016 invites original papers that move the field of human-computer interaction forward, be it through the advance of theory, methodology, or practice. We invite submissions of long and short papers of the highest international standard. NordiCHI aims to be a multidisciplinary forum for exchange of the latest results, coming from and combining the social, the technical, and the aesthetic. We especially welcome submissions that break the boundaries of traditional HCI studies, addressing the conference theme: Game-Changing Design.

Long papers must present original work that significantly contributes to research and practice of Human-Computer Interaction in its broadest sense. They should demonstrate validity, novelty over the literature, benefit to the field, or otherwise make a contribution that matters. Short papers contribute brief and focused contributions.

Long papers are up to 10 pages, including references; short papers up to 4 pages, including references. Papers should be anonymised and formatted according to the ACM SIGCHI Papers Format. Submissions are made electronically through the conference paper submission and reviewing system PCS (Precision Conference System).

Please note that the deadline is firm and will not be extended. The papers are peer reviewed in a double-blind review process.

Authors must present accepted papers at the NordiCHI 2016 Conference, and register for the conference for at least one day. Accepted manuscripts appear in the Proceedings of NordiCHI 2016, which will be published in the ACM Digital Library.

Submission of video material to accompany papers is encouraged. For accepted manuscripts, such video material will be published as source material in the ACM Digital Library.
